Narrative

Educational Diagnostician, Pre-K to adults, years; Special Education teacher Pre-K to 6th,15 years; Preschool teacher ages 2-5, 10 years; Developmental Reading Instructor, Tarrant County College, 5 years.

Over the 40+ years in education, I taught and assessed students who had cognitive (IQ), learning, attention and behavioral deficits. As a diagnostician, I assessed, wrote and presented Individual Education Plans or 504 Accommodation Plans for each student. I test for cognitive and learning disabilities, reading, dyslexia, math, attention, memory, processing and behavior issues. I write complete reports including accommodations and parent information sheets about any deficits discovered.


Imagine a puzzle, put together piece by piece over time. That is how I look at each person. I discover what pieces are missing and provide an detailed report of strengths and weaknesses. It is exciting to see each piece put in its place, the puzzle completed!


I am dyslexic, dysgraphic and ADD/ADHD with an above average IQ. I learned all this as an adult. No wonder school was a nightmare for me! I would like to help you and/or your student to dream peacefully without having that nightmare.
