Narrative
I am a licensed psychologist dedicated to working with children and families. I treat a number of childhood emotional and behavioral disorders. I have advanced training and experience in the treatment of mood disorders and anxiety disorders (e.g., OCD, social phobia, and selective mutism). I also have unique experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents. Their emotional problems occur alongside developmental differences, such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or mental retardation.
My approach to therapy is a collaborative one. I find it is very important to include both the child and the parents in the therapeutic process. Therapy need not be mysterious in order to be effective.
In addition to therapy, I offer parent training, consultation, and psychological/educational evaluations.
