Narrative

I love what I do! I am a kind , no judgment, and caring person.  I've gone through painful life experiences myself. I know the freedom and peace of healing. I am an experienced, skillful clinician who treats adults, teens, and children who are experiencing anxiety, insecurity, nightmares, depression, emotional reactions to trauma, stress, grief, guilt, and/or anger. I diagnose and treat children's' issues including ADHD, separation anxiety, divorce issues, anxiety, depressive disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, behavioral, social, school, or academic problems. I teach parents to use structure & behavioral techniques that really work!

I am experienced in treating alcohol/drug problems. I am certified in E.M.D.R., a technique used to relieve the lingering emotional & physical effects of trauma. I do marriage and family therapy assisting couples and families to utilize healthy communication skills.

I hold an earned doctorate in education; I've worked 30+ years as a teacher, counselor, administrator, and an adjunct professor. I supervise graduate students who are seeking LPC licensure. My goal is to help others to become the persons they want to be and to be happy.
