Narrative
I believe that we all have great power with in to move towards the change we want. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I dedicate myself to assisting people identify that power. I am bilingual and speak Spanish. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. My master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from The University of Texas at El Paso. I have worked for 11 years as an teacher in the public school setting. 7 of those years as a school counselor from grades K-12th. My focus is to help children, adolescence, and individuals on their journey towards healing. I wish to provide a person centered approach.
I am EMDR trained. This is a therapeutic structured counseling modality that stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. I have formal training in The Gottman Method for Couples. In addition as a Restorative Practicing counselor I am able to use this approach with families and couples to build connection and repair harm.
No one goes through life untouched. We are not meant to travel on this earth alone. As a counselor I am ready and willing to help anyone who will trust me on their path towards healing. Asking for help is not easy. It takes a lot of courage. Once you allow yourself to be helped, it can make a world of a difference.
