Kennedy M. Sabelko is a master’s level clinical therapist. He has over 22 years of experience working in mental health and education. Kennedy’s compassion for helping individuals achieve a better quality of life comes from his own personal and cultural experiences.
Kennedy’s focus is allowing people to recognize their irrational or negative thoughts/beliefs (Cognitive Distortions), and how their thoughts, expectations, perceptions and beliefs impact unhealthy emotions such as irritability, frustration, anger , anxiety or depression which in turn, manifest into subsequent maladaptive behaviors.
Kennedy provides coping strategies to decrease and manage negative thinking patterns through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-Cognitive Restructuring, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which teaches Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills.
