Narrative

Hi, my name is Bill Deggs; Family & Youth Therapy is the incorporated name of my private practice. I have a general practice where I work with both children and adults. I believe therapy is a place to feel safe, express feelings, explore relationships, describe experiences, and (if necessary) revisit old wounds to heal from them. I am passionate about utilizing Positive Psychology and Strength-Based approaches to achieving better mental health. My focus includes anxiety, depression, disorder prevention, trauma, substance abuse, and adjustment to life transitions.


I myself struggled with Anxiety and Depression as a young person, and I have learned much about empathy and helping others through my life experiences. I hold graduate degrees in Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Additionally, I have years of specialized training in the fields of Play Therapy and Substance Abuse Treatment.
