Narrative

I am a clinical psychologist. I have over 20 years experience. I do family, couples, and individual counseling, play therapy, psychological assessment, and bilingual (English/Spanish) services.  I work with young children to teens and adults. I have worked with ADHD, trauma, PTSD, anxiety based problems, depression, relational concerns, sports related concerns, and anger management.  My approach to counseling grounded.The therapeutic relationship is important in gaining meaning and resolving the conflicts that arise within our human experience.

I work with bilingual people/families, often serving primarily Spanish-speaking communities. I have lots of experience treating people exposed to trauma via abuse and violence, both within counseling and via trauma assessment. I use play therapy with children to improve process and communication. I use cognitive behavioral tools while working closely with parents and families.
My approach to treatment/assessment seeks to recognize the unique individual. I engage people free from judgment and assumptions. Within the therapeutic relationship I work with each person to find attainable goals, ultimately striving to facilitate conflict resolution, to gain an improved understanding of oneself and the world, and to enrich the shared human experience.
