Narrative

I specialize in working with children and teens who are struggling with:

• anxiety
• depression
• anger
• PTSD 
• ADHD
• autism

 Children under the age of 18 struggle in terms of building strong relationships with family members and peers.  Childhood through teen years can be a challenging time. Children often need more guidance. They need someone they can trust and relate to.

My counseling tools include:

• cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),
• solution focused therapy,
• cognitive processing therapy (CPT) 
• person centered counseling

I am an eclectic therapist.  I utilize many different tools. I often use art, sand tray and play therapy to better connect with the child.

It has been good to be able to give services to children/ teens who have been going through a tough time. It may be due to anxiety that is related to school. It may be social anxiety due to lack of socialization skills. I work with children helping them build on positive coping skills that they can use in any setting.
